Welcome to your new WebSpirit WebBooth!
This is the screen where your front page content will go. If you are looking at this from the “Front-end”, don’t worry, you can change this content later.
I’d recommend logging in to the “back-end” of your site to make the first changes. You should have received an e-mail with your Username and Password, which you can use to log in at http://edkeller.sustainingcommunitysites.com/wp-admin/
Once you are logged in, you can click “Your Profile”, on the right hand side of the screen. From here, you can change your password or update your profile information.
To make changes to your site, click on your site’s title at the very top of the page.
Now you can design pages or blog posts, in your WebBooth. I’ve already set up a static home page with these instructions in it. To edit this page, click on the tab “Manage” and “Pages”. Then click on the existing page “WebBooth Home”, and make changes to this very page, using the drafting window.
If you are already reading this in the drafting window, here are some design tips:
There are two rows of formatting buttons at the top of the drafting window. See them? (If you only see one row, click the icon furthest to the right “Show/Hide Kitchen Sink”. More formatting tools will appear)
You can type text to replace these notes. Use the toolbar buttons to format the size and color of your text. We don’t recommend pasting text from Word because the formatting problems will drive you scatty! But if you must, Try using the “Paste from Word” clipboard icon to clean it up.
This little drafting window is too small to really see what you’re doing. You can make it bigger in two ways. Click and drag the lower right hand corner of the window to expand it. OR click the formatting button 2nd from the right “Toggle to Full Screen Mode”. Click it again to go back.
To insert images, use the “Add Media * ” button. That’s above the formatting tool bars. You can upload pictures from your own computer and insert them here.
Then use the “Insert/Edit Image” button (looks like a tree) to edit pictures, centering them or resizing them.
Don’t forget to “Save”. That button is just to the right of the drafting window. Then view your work by clicking “Visit Site” at the top of the window next to your site name.
